JH Dance Academy

Jennifer was born in Manchester and started her training at Manchester College, studying a BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance). She then attended Dolphin Dance Studios in Liverpool, studying a 3 year Musical Theatre course. Throughout her time at Dolphin she achieved Teachers Associate in Freestyle Dance as well as Advanced Ballet, Tap and Modern dance examinations in I.D.T.A and I.S.T.D.

Jennifer has performed as a professional dancer in various professional productions, music videos, television, film and pantomimes. For example, music videos for Herd & Fitz, Kelly Llorenna, Ultra Beat and many more, starred in Hollyoaks as a professional dancer/actress, professional dancer for Bradford Bulls Rugby Clubs, Disneyland Resort Paris, Casino da Madeira.

After her professional dancing career, Jennifer turned her attention to being a professional choreographer and performing arts lecturer. She achieved a Certificate in Education at University of Huddersfield followed by a BA (Hons) in Education and Professional Development.

Jennifer is currently teaching dance and performing arts at Stockport College and teaches dance to children aged 18 months to adults at JH Dance Academy. She is constantly working towards various productions, events and examinations with her students, to inspire, encourage and develop their dance technique and performance skills. She has previously taught at Trafford College, Oldham College, Accrington and Rossendale College as well as being Dance Manager for Brendan Cole's Performing Arts Academy (Strictly Come Dancing).

In her spare time Jennifer choreographs and teaches couples their wedding first dance as well as teaching hen parties. She also enjoys dancing salsa at various social events.
