2step dance academy was formed in 2004 and has recently celebrated its 10 year anniversary. The school has gone from strength to strength and currently has in excess of 100 pupils. Lessons take place at three local venues – Nuffield & Ffitness First health club in Cannock & a local primary school in Great Wyrley. Classes start at age 3 right up to adults. We cover a variety of dance styles & levels including freestyle, ballet, modern jazz tap, gymnastic dance and pointe. It is also possible to have private tuition at all levels up to the IDTA Associate dance teacher qualification. Our pupils are currently working on our 5th annual show to be held at our local theatre. All pupils have the opportunity to take yearly IDTA examinations in all dance disciplines. The school also has an annual presentation party to celebrate the pupils achievements. 2step dance academy supplied the half time performance troupe at Wolverhampton Wanderers football club for 8 years & regularly performs at local carnivals & charity events.

Michelle is the school principal and started dancing at thje age of 5. She teaches freestyle, ballet & modern jazz to pupils of various ages and at a variety of levels. Michelle has taught the IDTA syllabus for 10 years and is qualified up to Licentiate level. Michelle has also studied at Walsall College where she attained her certificate of education. She has been a lecturer at Walsall college for 7 years currently teaching level 3 BTEC pupils in the dance & performing arts department.
Rachael attained a 2:1 BA Honours degree in dance studies at University in London . She then attended Walsall college where she completed her PGCE in post compulsary eductation. Rachael is currently employed as a tutor at a Birmingham college.
