We are a small, local dance school offering tuition of an excellent standard by registered qualified IDTA teachers. We offer all IDTA core subjects and other classes for children aged from 2 years and up. Our school has a lovely friendly atmosphere and is based in a very large mill with excellent facilities. We hold regular IDTA exam sessions, an annual show and also compete in local dance competitions 3/4 times a year. We were also chosen as IDS Dance School of the Year 2013!

Mrs Elaine Howarth

Principal

Elaine has been teaching dance for over 20 years and it is her passion. From a very young age Elaine took an interest in dance and has worked as a professional dancer and choreographer afterwhich Elaine went on to gain her qualifications as a teacher up to Fellowship level in all subjects. Elaine started out teaching freelance and then went on to open Elaine Howarth's Centre Stage in 2007. The school now has around 100 pupils and is very successful. Elaine also adjudicates and would love to be an examiner one day.

Mrs Amanda Hulley

Assistant

Amanda has been teaching for around 15 years and loves the whole idea of dance and musical theatre. She started dancing at the age of 8 but quickly found her passion and was soon competing in local dance competitions. Amanda also worked as a professional dancer and then went on to take her teaching qualifications to an Associate level. Amanda has worked at Centre Stage since it opened.
