Huddersfield based Rhythms School of Dance was established in October 1992, by former professional dancer,Joanne Scaddon. The school offers classes for children of all ages, in ballet, modern and tap, following both the highly respected syllabi of the IDTA and ISTD . We give all our dancers the opportunity to enter Examinations and to take part in Festivals, Shows and Competitions , if they wish too. Rhythms also offers, tap and fitness classes, including Bum’s and Tum’s classes for adults.

As a child Joanne attended a local dancing school were as well as gaining examination qualifications in Ballet, Modern and Tap, she spent many enjoyable hours taking part in shows and competitions.
When Joanne was 16, she went to a stage school in Lancashire, where she gained her teaching qualifications.
Whilst still at college, Joanne sucessfully auditioned for the Bluebells. She took the opportunity, but on her retirement from the Bluebells, Joanne returned to college to take further teaching qualifications.. A couple of months later,on October 6th 1992, Rhythms opened.
Joanne now holds teaching qualifications with both the IDTA and ISTD. She has an enhanced CRB check and holds a Chaperone's Licence with Kirklees Council. Joanne has attended courses on Child Protection, Child Care and First Aid. She is also a qualified Fitness Instructor and has experience as a children's fitness coach
